Recently, every time I get a relaxer to straighten my hair all the way, it never works. I am Puerto Rican and Black, and my natural hair is wavy and a little curly. I get relaxers every 6 months or so. When I go to relax my hair, my roots get straight, but the middle portion of my hair is still curly and poofy (I tried to go natural for a while but I changed my mind. Ever since then, its been hell trying to keep my hair straight.)
Anyway, when I go to the salon, after I get aggravated because my hair is still wavy, my stylist parts my hair, puts some kind of (neon) orange greasy substance in my hair and flat irons it. Whenever she does my hair, it stays straight for about a week or until I wash my hair again. But when I flat iron my hair myself it doesn't work the same way. So what I'm thinking is that the orange stuff is keeping my hair straight...
Can anyone tell me what this "stuff" is ? I know that it is some kind of pressing wax or curling wax or something. I can't really put a pinpoint on the smell because instead of actual grease, she uses a castor oil treatment (which has like a coconut tropical type smell to it) But if anyone can try to tell me the name of it, I would greatly appreciate it. Or if not, can someone tell me another good pressing wax I can use ?
Please and Thank you =)
(P.S....and if anyone can tell me the brand of a good, almost professional, flat iron (ceramic) that I could use, I would appreciate it as well.)

India’s types of food reflect their culture in many ways. To begin with, their religion and food cuisines all began is the past when the Hindus began to believe in non-violence. This meant no killing animals for meat, which started the vegetarian diet. This deeply influenced the Jainism belief because they took this to a very strict level; the Jains then ate a diet of wheat, grains, beans, lentils or pulses. Now most people began to eat more vegetables, pulses, cereals and fruits. A normal diet consisted of vegetables, grain, meat, fruit, dairy products and honey. Those who follow a vegetarian diet make up 20 to 40 % of the population of India, while the meat eaters make up less than 30%. The endless variations in cuisines reflect religious, regional, community, economic histories. A major difference in the Indian food culture is that the north is wheat based and the south is rice based. Regionally the cooking preferences are such that even the oil they use will be different too. Vegetable oil is a popular choose, Groundnut oil and mustard seed oils are also popular in the northern and western regions. In the south, cooking is done with coconut or gingerly oil due to health. Now, for the most popular food in India, Spices are commonly used among India. Most foods are characterized by the very high aromatic and delicately spiced. That explains how India’s types of foods reflect their culture.

To lose weight in 5 months, follow this simple diet routine, proved to be more effective:
General Motors Weight Loss Diet, a.k.a. The GM Diet* - An e-mail received from Shri M Siddique (who recd from Ravindra Jaju)
Have you heard of the Physics Diet? As common sense goes, prevention is always better than cure!
The following diet and health program was apparently developed for the employees and the dependants of General Motors Inc.
The program was developed in conjunction with the grant from the US Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. It was first tried at the Johns Hopkins Research Centre and was approved for distribution by the Board of Directors of General Motors Corporation at a general meeting on August 15, 1995 .
General Motors Corporation wholly endorsed this program and is making it available to all employees and families. This program will be available at all General Motors Food service facilities.
It is the management’s intention to facilitate a welfare and fitness program for everyone.
This program is designed for a target weight loss of 5-6 Kgs. per week. It will also improve your attitude and emotions because of its systematic cleansing effects. The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the foods eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value. This plan can be used as often as you like to without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter by atleast 10 pounds. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition.
During the first seven days you must drink 10 glasses of water each day.
DAY ONE
All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consists of all fruits you want. It is suggested you consume lots of watermelon and cantaloupe.
DAY TWO
All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the new and cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the account or type. Avoid oil and coconut while cooking vegetables. Have large boiled potato for breakfast.
DAY THREE
Any mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet and no potatoes today.
DAY FOUR
Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. You can also have one bowl of vegetables soup.
DAY FIVE
Today is a feast day. You will eat 1 (one) cup of rice. You also have to eat 6 (six) whole tomatoes and drink 12 (twelve) glasses of water today to cleanse your system of the excess uric acid you will be producing.
DAY SIX
Today is another all vegetables day. You must eat 1 cup of rice today and eat all the vegetables you want cooked and uncooked to your heart's content.
DAY SEVEN
Today your food intake will consist of 1 cup rice, fruit juice and all the vegetables you care to consume. Tomorrow morning you will be five to eight kilograms lighter than 1 week ago. If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program again. Repeat the program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you rest for three days before every repetition.
You have your system under control now and it will thank you for all the purging and cleansing you just gave it. Even more than a diet program it is good to follow this diet once in a while to clean your digestive system and remove toxic substances that have a accumulated in the system.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The most important element of the program is the 10 (ten) tall glasses of water a day. You can also flavour the water will some lemon to make the drink easier. While on the program, take only black coffee and never more than one teaspoon of oil. Preferably do not use oil because the high calorific content. No fruit juices before day seven.
Here is what happens to you body while you are on this program and how and why it works.
Day 1: You are preparing your system for the upcoming program. Your only source of nutrition is fresh fruits. Fruits are nature's perfect food. They provide everything you can possibly want to sustain life except total balance and variety.
Day 2: Starts with a fix complex carbohydrates in the form of a boiled potato. This is taken in the form of a boiled potato and taken in the morning to provide energy and balance. The rest of the day too consists of vegetables which are virtually calories free and provide essential nutrients and fibre.
Day 3: Eliminates the potato because you get your carbohydrates from fruits. Your system is now prepared to start burning excess pounds. You will have cravings, which should start to diminish by day four.
Day 4: Bananas and milk. You are in for a surprise. You probably will not be able to eat all the bananas allowed. But they are there for the potassium you have lost and the sodium you may have missed during the last three days. You will notice a definite loss of desire for sweets and you will be surp

Hey guys. I know nutritional knowledge is important and I AM interested, but I am preparing for military service and I really want to get fit as soon as possible and change the health of my body to better serve. To this end I would love to have something like an "ultimate diet" where I wouldn't have to worry about how much I eat/drink, or exactly WHAT I eat or drink in any given day.
First off, some (relevant?) info on me:
I am about to turn 20. I weigh ~160 pounds. I am about 5"6.5'.
I run three times a day, for between 20-40 minutes on average, my goal being at least 2.5 miles every time. I do some weights and calasthenics (I messed that spelling I know) but none consistently, which I'm going to work to change. I am very committed to this goal.
Secondly, this is the only thing like this I've seen in my cursory reading tonight:

I have already made Bev's Chocolate Chip cookies and they were good but still looking for something else. Have searched over an hour and have not found what I want. Does anyone have one they have tried and enjoy? I do have chocolate chips, white whole wheat flour, regular flour, oatmeal, walnuts, coconut, butter. oils, eggs, flavorings, canned milk. Please only post what you know you have tried and is good and if you have the calorie count that is even better and how much fiber and protein would even be better. I try to count all of this each day to stay healthy. Thanks

I was looking up a recipe for coconut cream pie and found a great one! This web site says virgin coconut oil is good for you. I know its a saturated fat and sat. fat is supposed to be bad for you... have dietary recommendations for fat changed? Tiek

So, I am a very natural person, not so much a fan of pills unless I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to take them! lol.
I have been hearing SO many opposite viewpoints about certain vitamins and brushes, and ways to brush your hair, and ointments to put on your hari that could potentially help your hair regrow thicker and sprout new baby hairs where it was lost (I am a 20 y/o guy that has a fine head of hair except the front i have a little bit of thinning and a little bit of a receding hairline. Weirdly enough, it's SUPER thick on the crown, so I dunno!)
Do you have any thoughts? Again, I like and tend to believe that herbal remedies and such are probably the safest and best. Like tee tree oil. Will that help? Coconut oil? Any other thoughts?
Thank you!
Actually...I thought about it the other day (sorry for this rambling hooplah.) The companies that give you hair transplants can't really endorse anything else because if they did they'd go out of business. So I wonder if there are better alternatives that they can't really tell you about, since to them it'd be bad business?

I've been putting coconut and jojoba oil on my face almost every night, is this a good idea? What other products can I use? I wanted to get a consumer's input because it seems like every time I go to the store they recommend 10 different products! I feel like using so many different things would actually age my skin faster (I went to a natural store called Origins). I think this would be a good place to go but I just want to make sure they're concentrated on my skin rather than selling the product...what do you think? How many products do you use and do they work? What would you recommend for me? (I used to have acne but got on the pill and started eating healthier and now it's all cleared up; I just have some scars.)

I was told that coconut oil is good for losing weight and reducing cholesterol. Is this true?

I want pure coconut oil for my skin and cant find it anywhere because i heard it works great. Any suggestions???

I also try to get weekly deep conditioners also. Does pure coconut oil help?

hey!
=)
I'm interested in buying coconut oil to buy on my face and hair because I've heard so many positive responses from other people. But I'm kinda confused. Are they talking about the COOKING OIL? lol Like... the virgin coconut oil?
Where can I buy coconut oil that is okay to use on hair and skin?
thank you so much!

I've bene using coconut oil for a week and half now. How long will i start to see my hair growing and how many inches will it probably grow to?
3 or 4 inches?
i use it three times a week
plz answer all my question and i chose you as best answer

is it actually meant to be better than ready-made moisturizers these days? i heard that the egyptians used to use them and they have the most beautiful skin ever.

I'm making some melt and pour soaps as gifts, and in addition to aloe and vitamin e, I would like to use coconut oil in them. Would this damage the soap? If not, how much should I use per lb of soap?

eat any.
She said to only eat vegetables, meats, poultry and fish and health oils
to me this seems wrong. I have a good whole foods diet on at least 90% or more of the food. Some days I might mess up up to 10% mostly when I eat out.
the grains I eat or 90% or more whole grains and real fruit not canned or anything. She said eat no carbs..is this not unhealthy? or is she right?
what kind of diet should diabetics eat?
she said to eat 6 times a day do not do this and I feel if I am going to change., this is where I should try not with the type of food I am eating but the frequency.
Am I right or she..I feel it seems unhealthy to leave out fruit and grains and makes the diet more monotonous just meats and veggies.
I am not a big very eater of dairy and eggs. I also feel if changing maybe I need to look at honey etc..I think it would be hard to leave out whole grains and fruits. I have been interested in nutrition for 30 years and feel except for a few messups once in a while, my diet is excellent but she thinks it is bad as she crossed off whole grains like tabouli, oatmeal, kashi buckwheat waffles, brow rice, spelt spaghetti, etc off the list and said it was very bad along with all the fruits.

I would like to take at least four servings (i.e. 4 tablespoons) of coconut oil a day for health reasons. I find it very difficult to try and swallow a spoonful of oil without wanting to throw up... just as a reaction to feeling gooey stuff in my mouth.
I really need to eat this and I don't mind the taste - I just don't like the feel of it plus my psychological aversion to all other oils and fats.
What are some good ways to take coconut oil?

I have dark spots on my back as well...and would to try organic virgin coconut oil to help get rid of the blemishes. I had dark spot since I was a child and my mother says there from chicken pots.
What store could I pick this up at?

I have been searching veggie sites to help out my son and expand my horizons. I am getting a bit of a giggle because I am not what I would think of as a vegetarian. I eat tons of veggies, fish, eggs, cheese, and shrimp. And that is about it. I cannot eat beef as I get very sick when I do and pork is just a no no. So am I right in what I am reading that I am one???
My elderly mother told me a few weeks ago that she was going to go vegetarian and I laughed. When she said she ate some turkey I laughed even harder. She swore they ate poultry and fish. Do they/y'all???
So what is it? I do know vegans and how vegans are so no need to explain that (at least they are clear even if extreme). Just where is the vegetarian line?
Thanks for the education tonight!

I don't have coconut oil for my hair so I'm wondering if i could tanning lotion.

People have been telling me to follow the food pyramid but when i look at it, it shows things that many people don't eat every day, and dare i say the food pyramid isn't very practical. How is it even possible to eat all this in one day? Does anybody agree? And if you don't please enlighten me and show me how to shove all this in 6-7 small meals.
* 3 servings of milk (or lactose-reduced milk), cheese, and yogurt
* 2 servings of high protein foods like lean meat, poultry, fish, eggs, legumes, and nuts
* 3 servings of vegetables
* 2 servings of fruit
* 6 servings of grains
* 8 servings of water

I've read that peanut butter and coconut oil are effective for managing weight and for eating healthy. However, they do tend to have a lot of calories and fat. But are they effective? (I'm not dieting or anything, my mom just told me that they were good for that.)

I am not overweight. I walk a treadmill 5 days a week, 4miles per hour for 30 minutes. I haven't eaten red meat in 30 years. I eat lots of vegies, whole wheat, and fish or poultry and I take lots of fish oil vitamins. My medicine is norvasc. My pressure is still high--often, 145/90. I am hesitant about medications to begin with andabsolutely do not want to take anything that produces weight gain. I'm afraid of side effects but everything I hear tells me that is my pressure is over 120/80 then I am on my way to a stroke. Help!

I've been told that it is 7 months but i find it hard to believe because:
In the UK its 40 days ( or 48-60 days for free range ) and i doubt if UK birds are biologically wildly different to USA poultry
In the USA chickens are sold for about half the price of uk birds
The USA is not renowned for its use of traditional farming methods and unmodified feeds
All that leads me to doubt they keep birds int he USA for 180 days when 40 days will do.
apparently I'm "pompous" for saying its 40 days according to an email from "Phoenix Erotic Photography" !!!
I'm asking in this section because (a) I recognise contributors so know who is reliable and (b) veggies tend to go and find these things out
anyone know ?

think it's okay to eat eggs. The poultry industry is the worst for animal cruelty. I'm not a vegetarian, but I do know about farming methods. A laying chicken, yes a very young bird spends most of it's life in a cage it can't turn round in. Before they reach adulthood they are worn out, yet people come on here telling us they don't want to eat meat because of animal cruelty, but dairy produce & eggs are okay.
Many people have beliefs about what is right and what is wrong and I will never say to them they are wrong, even though my opinion differs from theirs, but if you are really concerned about animal welfare then do some research into the subject

I have coconum oil supplement (extra virgin organic) and it says to take 4-8 softgels a day. They're really big, so does it matter if i cut them in half and eat them in something like applesauce? Like, does it matter if the actual coconut oil is exposed while i'm eating it or if it's in a capsul?

I haven't found any live ones since I doused his head with coconut oil. Do you think it is working? Should I keep the oil in his head?

it is said that coconut oil predominantly containing saturated fats leads to atherosclerosis and heart attacks. This is disputed by advocates of the oil especially in Kerala, saying the oil is actually beneficial for health.

I have been doing some reading on Monosodium Glutamate also called Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, which the MSG manufacturers themselves admit that it addicts people to their products. It makes people choose their product over others, and makes people eat more of it than they would if MSG wasn't added. MSG is the sodium salt of glutamic acid. Glutamic acid is an amino acid, one of the building blocks of protein. It is found in virtually all food and, in abundance, in food that is high in protein, including meat, poultry, cheeses, and fish.
Hydrolyzed proteins, used by the food industry to enhance flavor, are simply proteins that have been chemically broken apart into amino acids. The chemical breakdown of proteins may result in the formation of free glutamate that joins with free sodium to form MSG. In this case, the presence of MSG does not need to be disclosed on labeling.
Not only is MSG scientifically proven to cause obesity, it is an addictive substance! I just read that MSG can be hidden in glueten. Has anyone heard or know, of this happening in dog food? I wonder, if this could be part of the reason dogs sometimes do not want to eat the higher quality dog foods, that do not have this additive hidden in the glueten? Maybe the dogs become addicted to MSG like humans and rats do, so they want that food and want to eat lots of it. I know celiac patients are told to not eat glueten and MSG and dogs can have this disease too. And, MSG has been reported to cause symptoms similar to celiac disease, so maybe the MSG is causeing the intestinal difficulties some of our pets have. Does anyone know of an article about dogs and msg? What are your thoughts on this?
Edit: I read on wikipedia that MSG can be labeled as flavoring too, also MSG is only one of several forms of free glutamate used in foods. Free glutamate may also be present in a wide variety of other additives, including: hydrolyzed vegetable proteins, autolyzed yeast, hydrolyzed yeast, yeast extract, SOY.

Has anyone ever heard of taking coconut oil to lose weight? I read in a book called Natural Cures that taking extra virgin organic coconut oil will help you lose weight. I bought some and it seems to be working.

I want to be a vegetarian. I was told that it is easy, and we can include in front, like milk, egg, fish, poultry, and more to come.
At my place, common for us to eat bugs and cockroaches. Please do not giggle or give negative answer. I didn’t feel ethically wrong. Indeed it is rich with protein. My family like to eat fried cockroaches for dinner and holidays. But now, I’m trying to be a vegetarian, but still eat the cockroaches.
Now my question is…
1) Can be a vegetarian if I still eat cockroach?
2) What type / term of vegetarian am I?

i have just bought virgin coconut oil and I am trying to take it for my hypothyroid. I want to know ho much should I take it? right now, it looks like it upsets my stomach. what are you stories? any help?

I am kind of ticked. I made arrangements months ago to get a heritage turkey from a local farm. I expected to pick that up Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. I would have expected for it to have been slaughtered sometimes Tuesday-Wednesday.
I got an email last night that the turkeys are ready for pickup today. I told them that if I got it now, it would be 5 days old by Thanksgiving. I keep poultry 3-4 days. They said that the turkeys were slaughtered 11/14 because it was the closest that they could get to Thanksgiving. So the turkey would really be 8 days old by Thanksgiving. She told me that a turkey can be kept for 10 days at 32 degrees.
I'm not sure what to do. I was excited to try a "Heritage Breed", but I am ticked at the idea of paying a premium, and driving out to get an 8 day old turkey for Thanksgiving. I am wondering if that is as old as turkeys in the store. I am wondering if the turkey will be gross by day 8.

Probiotika All in 1000 - probiotischen Joghurt selber machen

Hi.I am hypothyroid and i have heard that drinking 2 -3 tbsp of coconut oil daily helps it to bring it back.It tastes so awful. Can anyone tell me if i can eat raw shredded coconut instead. Will the effect be same?

I want to know a handmade soap made out of Coconut oil, palm oil, soda lye, color, perfumes etc. is kosher?

I can not seem to get when to use then and than? Time and comparison I know but my sentences are confusing me. Would you mind telling me which is suppose to go in the following sentences? Thanks I really appreciate it and sorry there are so many.
1. If we do not limit emissions then we need to decrease deforestation.
2. If a great majority of forests are converted to cropland then the emissions from these changes in land use may be huge and the benefits of corn ethanol may not measure up.
3. If food is cut back dramatically then it may hurt third world countries who we ship our crops to.
4. For example, beef and dairy farmers have to pay a higher price for feed corn, which is then passed on in the form of higher prices for dairy, poultry, and livestock because of the increased demand for corn.
5. If we continue to use new land on which to grow corn then carbon emissions will have a negative impact on our environment.
6.If the demand for corn increases then so will the need for land which consequently will increase greenhouse emissions.
7. If a great majority of forests are converted to cropland then the emissions from these changes in land use may be huge and the benefits of corn ethanol may not measure up.
8. If food is cut back dramatically then it may hurt third world countries who we ship our crops to.
9. For example, beef and dairy farmers have to pay a higher price for feed corn, which is then passed on in the form of higher prices for dairy, poultry, and livestock because of the increased demand for corn.

I just bought Hesh (ancient formulae) Herbal Coconut Oil and Almond oil (which has coconut oil+ other stuff in it as well), and the coconut is hard in both bottle, what is recommended to soften the coconut oil? Microwave??

A family friend read that taking coconut oil can help you lose weight. I find it hard to believe considering the high amount of sat fat...but who knows? A resource would be appreciated!

I heard that if i were to put coconut oil on my skin like 30 minutes before a shower will remove all the dirt from your skin, is this true?

Why do sites like Mercola.com and many books say coconut oil is the healthiest oil for you, when CSPI and the American Heart Association says it's bad?

Meat Glue, Activa RM, Transglutaminase, 1 x 2.2# bag

Also referred sometimes as "meat glue" this preparation has been used to dazzling effect by the like of Wylie Dufresne of WD-50 among others. Making spaghetti with fish meat and/or shrimps has been one of the most spectacular result obtained by Wylie. Activa RM is a powerful binding agent created to improve the texture of protein-rich foods and has been used by the industry for years. The surimi and ham we all know could not exist without transglutaminase. A little experiment and you will "sandwich" ham, turkey, and bacon in one piece.

The Quick and Easy Organic Gourmet: Delicious, Healthy Meals Without Meat, Wheat, Dairy, or Sugar

From Publishers Weekly

Cerier, an Amherst, Mass., caterer, offers some clever ideas in this collection of organic recipes (some of which do contain fish). A lengthy introductory section on organic foods and cooking includes charts of the Chinese system of the five phases, or transformations, of food (wood, fire, earth, metal and water), which associates particular foods with emotions (e.g., artichokes, a wood food, are related to both planning and anger). This section is extremely informative and almost a book in itself. The collection of recipes has the breadth to constitute a comprehensive volume, but not the organization. Millet Apple Raisin Cake?made by cooking millet and raisins in apple juice, pouring the resulting mush into a pan and allowing it to harden?is intriguing, but Cerier neglects to note the size of the pan to be used. Many recipes fail to list ingredients in the correct order, and chapters can overlap, with recipes for the same dish appearing twice in (more...)

Hi,
I have a cookie recipe that calls for 2 cups/4 sticks of butter and would prefer to use coconut oil in the recipe. I know many peole use coconut oils as a substitute. Logic tells me that 2 cups of melted butter is equivalent to 2 cups of coconut oil, but I don't know if there is there a special formula to determine how much oil I should use? I don't want soggy or crispy cookies!
As a sidenote, I have both "regular" coconut oil and the expeller-pressed (oil w/o the coconut flavor)...don't know if it matters, but I was going to use the flavorless oil instead.
Thanks for your help!

Some says coconut oil is not effecting to increase the level of choleterol in the blood?

in most countries.. do most of people think that the coconut oil is more useful to be used as cooking oil or other than for cooking but is still benefit us?

I'm just wondering if chicken is allowed when you give up meat, but some of my friends said that it's poultry.I really don't see the difference. When I turned 13 my mom told me I had to give up meat along with all my other relatives who turned 13 before me,but that's just my family. It just confuses me.

i used a few tablespoons of coconut oil on my hair, and i want to know how long it will take to get off my hair.

1. You live in a one-room square house with a window centered in each of the four walls. All the windows face south. If a bear walks by one of the windows, what color is he?
2. A rancher has 1,432 feet of fence that must be strung in a straight line to keep his cattle from straying. A fence post must be placed every 4 feet. How many fence posts will he need?
3. A farmer went to the store to buy something for his farm house. The clerk told him 1 would cost $.25, 12 would cost $.50 and 122 would cost $.75. What was the farmer buying?
4. With an awful racket, I change my jacket. I change my coat and color. I weigh much less in my nice new dress, But I am many times larger. What am I?
5. A farmer had some hens and pigs. Altogether among his poultry and swine, there were 72 legs and 26 heads. How many pigs and how many hens did he have?
I'll do some hints in awhile if no one has gotten them all yet. Good luck!

Someone told me I look "sultry" What did they mean? It sounds kind of scary, and it reminds me of poultry...(come on, it rhymes!!)
is looking sultry a bad thing? what does it mean?

I have been reading stories about the many benefits of coconut oil but I don't know I have to wash it out after I put it in my hair of if I can leave it in my hair like a normal hair moisturizer. Can coconut be left in your hair like a normal oil like olive oil?

so i run about 15 to 20 miles a week. and i am i vegetarian and people keep telling me that i need to have more proteins and stuff thats good for me. to run and up until know i have only eaten tofu and humus because i do not eat any meats, poultry, eggs unless there already mixed into breads or other things. only eggs so i need suggestions on what kind of things or supplements that i should be taking thanks for the help. and would eggs help with proteins

I need coconut oil, do you think the people who work at Origins skincare will know?

I want to make my hair grow faster and I was told virgin coconut oil will help, but where do I buy it?I dont want to go through the internet.
Also is it in oil form or pill form ,does it matter? I saw at gnc they had pill form virgin coconut oil,any help would be great!

I read yesterday that unrefined coconut oil Can be used as personal lubricant, cure yeast infections as well as dry skin, and be used on ur skin and hair, As well as in cooking. Anyone use it? Where can i buy it? How well does it work?

I had a school medical check-up today and my blood pressure was 90/50. I don't really believe it is true, there might be something wrong, because according to my mom someone with that blood pressure should have fainted. But for one thing I know my blood pressure is low. I'm wondering if it's because of my eating habit. Here's what I eat everyday:
Breakfast -- 1 glass of low fat, high calcium chocolate milk and 1 piece of toast which I microwave until it becomes crispy because I like it that way :) and of course 2 glasses of water.
Lunch -- I usually eat anything here. I sometimes eat a plate of sushi (contains 6 sushi) or vegetables mixed in peanut sauce or a tortilla wrap. Other times I would eat brown rice (I don't really like usual rice) with something else. I also drink 1 bottle of water.
Snack -- Afterschool I would eat 1 apple or 1 banana. I would drink 1 glass of water.
Dinner -- I don't eat dinner but I drink another glass of milk in this time.
*Note that I do not eat poultry such as chicken, beef, goat, lamb, pork, etc. I still eat fish though. I also don't really like to eat chocolates or cheese anymore. I also don't really like to snack.
Please tell me if I've been eating right, and if I don't, please give me some useful suggestions. Thanks so much.

What exactly does coconut oil do for your body? Is it really beneficial, or just hype? I got unrefined, virgin coconut oil.

I have been employed by Sainsburys Supermarket to work as a Counter Assistant. I accepted the offer and signed the employment contract whilst at the induction. Now I though Counter Assistant was something to do with checkouts [working on the tills] but in fact it's all about handling raw fish, meat and poultry and that wasn't what I was looking to do, on their website the job description does not tell you this, so it's not specific, it only states that you will be serving customers and you will have regular customers. I start this work on Thursday but I want to leave to find another job as a checkout assistant with the same company Sainsburys but in a different branch. Is this a breach of employment contract and if so what could happen to me.

Are you a vegan? a vegan is when you don't eat meat, poultry,or seafood products, and you don't eat jello/gelatin products (becase jello and gelatin is made from horse bones), and you also don't eat anything with eggs or dairy. VEGETARIAN just means you don't eat MEAT. Is there anyone in Mohonasen
high school that is vegan just like me. I'm NOT talking about anyone in paticular. i'm just wondering if there is anyone else there that is vegan besides me. theres hardly any vegans in the U.S. I do know some vegetarians though. but no vegans. i'm a vegan. the only vegan i know is myself. I wish I knew some vegans at my school. I feel like i'm the only one. everytime i say i'm a vegan they all look at me like "what the hell is a vegan?". How many of you agree that in every school there should be a buffet for people that are vegans and vegetarians? i hate that in my school there isn't many choices of foods for vegans except for salad. that gets boring after awhile. i'm going to talk to the school and tell them they should put a whole buffet of vegan food. is that a good idea? do you think they'll listen to me? i have no idea what to do.

Can i mix coconut oil and hair mayonnaise together for a deep treatment (pre-wash) for my hair?

I went to the doctor today and he said i have high cholesterol but he did not really tell me how to fix it. I am 18 a vegetarian and a smoker and none of that is going to change so please don't suggest quitting smoking (it wont happen till i get pregnant) or eating meat (I do not eat red meat poultry *including eggs* or fish)
Does anyone know how to go about doing this? I have not exercised much since i tore my ACL in '06

looking for home remedies for leather care without the expensive stuff.
anyone tried coconut oil?

I have to write an essay on Radioactivity and I have to say some reasons why it is useful. This is what I have so far and I would appreciate it if someone would look over it and tell me if I should fix anything. I'm not sure what else to add I need One more Paragraph.
Here is what I have so far:
What is Radioactivity used for? Why do we still use it? Should we still use it? I think we should still use Radioactivity because it is being used in Medical Practices, Scientific Research, Agriculture, and Industry and is also used for many other things.
What is Radioactivity you ask? Radioactivity is the spontaneous disintegration of atomic nuclei in the emission of subatomic particles called Alpha Particles and Beta Particles. Radioactivity can be very useful in Industries and Medical Practices. Like Uranium-234, is used in Dental fixtures like crowns and dentures to provide a natural color and brightness. Cobalt-60 is used to sterilize Surgical instruments, to improve the safety and reliability of industrial fuel oil burners, and to preserve poultry, fruits and spices. Nickel-63 is used to detect explosives, voltage regulators, and current surge protectors in electronical devices. All these elements are Radioactive and are being used in all sorts of jobs.
We still use Radioactivity because it is an important resource to our community. We get our electricity from Radioactivity in Nuclear power plants. It’s the cleanest and best source of electricity. It is also used in estimating the age of once-living things called Carbon-14 dating that the archaeologists use. Radioactivity is also used in Radiotherapy and the use of Technetium-99m for Medical uses. Yes, Radioactivity may lead to a greater chance of cancer, the most harmful type of radiation is Alpha Radiation and it cannot penetrate the skin, while Gamma Radiation can penetrate the skin but is not too harmful. Sometimes, it is used as Medical Tracers.

One handful can make me sick in my stomach - (throw up). Before the change to coconut oil, I ate a large bucket per movie.

I'm 14, and I weigh 112 pounds and I'm 5 feet 11 inches. I am naturally skinny, and have a very fast metabolism, but lately i have gotten very lazy and put on a few pounds which I need to lose even though some people may say I'm too skinny. Can someone please tell me what I should be eating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so I can eat healthy and also exercise? I already exercise.
Here's a little bit about my diet now: I do not eat breakfast, I'm too busy in the morning, I get up at 6 and leave at 6:30 for school. For lunch I have 2 snacks (usually 2 100 calorie packs) and apple slices, a cheese stick, and a chewy bar. After school I pig out on crap like chips and jelly beans and pudding and other foods. Then for dinner I'll have a meat or poultry or sometimes a carb like spaghetti with a potato and a vegetable.

After reading that book I haven't been able to eat red meat, poultry, eggs and dairy (cheese, milk). .. I did lose 6 pounds in one week... Anyone have any advice? Is eating those foods safe? Or losing weight that quickly does it mean I shouldn't be eating that stuff in the first place?? that my body is trying to tell me something. I do need to lose about 30 pounds.
Thank you for any help...

I have recently become vegetarian but just for 40 days due to religious reasons ( its ending in a few days) I have noticed more hairloss since this dietry change....can any oil help me please

I apply coconut oil to hair regularly so which shampoo should i use to wash my hair?i tried moisturising shampoo from garnier & sunsilk but they fail to remove oil from the hair thats why i am using bath soap to wash my hair which makin my hair frizzy & dry so please suggest me good shampoo brand or type of shampoo which will be easily available in india.

I'm cutting red meat/all meat from mammals out of my diet, so please don't just go on and on about the benefits, I know them. But, I know that people's iron often goes down because red meat is most people's main source of iron (and a good one at that) and that most vegetable sources of iron are extremely inefficient. So what should I do to combat that? Are eggs a good substitute? Or fish? Chicken? Milk? etc. etc.
What are some other things I should watch out for?
I'm not cutting out eggs, poultry, etc. so I don't have to watch out for getting enough protein (I drink enough milk to make up for that anyway, ha)
DO NOT tell me to not do this because of whatever stupid study that says that it's unhealthy to cut out red meat, because it is not unhealthy unless you don't do anything to combat the negatives.

It is restricted in my school to give coconut oil on hair, I know it's strange but my school is the best school of the country.
I want to know if it is good to massage coconut oil on hair and what is the good thing by using it? Thank you

Hello people. I am rather concerned for a growing appetite I seem to be suffering from, however, it is highly unsual, and furthermore, I am scared increase it accelarates to the point where I cannot go back. I like to eat... swans. Yes, swans. Let me explain. Today I went with my girlfriend to our local park with a lake/pond in it, with a beautiful array of bird life, including swans. Now, what we do is collect the bread we don't consume in our household, let it go stale so as to not disrupt the swans' and ducks' and geese's and all the other quacking animals' diets, and feed it them. But, when my girfriend frequents the local public toilet in the park, I jump in to the pond, wrestle with the swans, and proceed to devour them, whole. Yes, feathers, beaks, feet, bumholes, the lot. I eat them raw. There used to be 24 of them, now there are 18, and the local authorities have no clue as to what is happening, gladly up to now. I go abpout this business discretely, and on a night time too, when they are asleep and only vagrant drunks litter the park, so I can't be recognised, besides they get a laugh out me eating swans and floating on my back in the pond until the poultry digests as I am rather full afterwards. Ok, so there is my secret. My confessional, if you will. I need help. There are but 18 left, including young ones, somebody, please tell me what I can do. Do I change my appetite, and go for the ducks instead? Or the seagulls? Geese? The people who feed em their roughages? Help me please. Please. Cos I'm hungry. Yum yum. And Yahoo Answers users begin to look tastier as the days go by. Nice. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I was wondering cause I been using wild growth oil, but have been hearing things about coconut oil, and seeing if you can mix them?

I purchased some coconut oil to use on my hands because they get extreamly dry during winter. I've also read that it can be a "wonderfood" for health if eaten. Do you eat coconut oil and has it improved your health? If so, how much per day do you consume daily?

When balancing ones diet between Protiens,Carbs and Fats; if coconut oil goes directly to the liver to be metabolized, it is behaving like a carb not like a fat. Soo how is it treated in a diet balanced between Protiens, carbs and fats?

i mean at school ppl are always burning on the hispanics with those mexican jokes. i dont find them very funny.im not from the hispanic heritage. but i find those harmless jokes very offensive becaus they do it all the time.also i dont wanna sound mean but why do ppl say that immigrants are taking all the jobs and homes when they dont wanna do the jobs that the immigrants are doing like construction and poultry factories. also ppl are blaming STUPID AND IDIOTIC things on racism and color for example. in october a family was told to remove a haloween decoration because it appeared its skin was black.hmmm what color would a dead decaying person be. ppl wouldnt have made any comments if the decoration appeared white.why do ppl have to be so uptight and colr these days.i know that there are races in us were a large population of them are living in smaller homes with less glamorous stuff and not well paying jobs.but that doesnt mean they all are. im only 15 and italian/spanish -from spain-

Noooo~!
I don't recommend coconut oil AT ALL~~!!!!!
Coconut oil is 90-ish % SATURATED FAT, so unless you want to clog your arteries faster or something, I don't recommend eating/cooking with a lot of coconut oil!!!
EDIT: (To N F + asker) Yes, it does have Omega 3 fatty acids, which are unsaturated fats (lowers Cholesterol). However, that doesn't change the fact that it is almost 100% pure SATURATED fat, which is horrible for you~!! Even the American Heart Association remindes us that coconut oil is actually detrimental to our cardiovascular systems and promoted heart disease. The best source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids is from fish and flax.

I have always been really really tiny since I was little due to being allergic to basically everything (from milk to dairy to poultry to fish to nuts to everything else) til I was 5. Today I am 5 foot 3 and a half and weigh a whopping 87 lbs.. I am still content with my weight, but sometimes I feel like I am too skinny. I eat a descent amount, but I still can't seem to gain weight.
I am just wondering if I am too skinny, because people always tell me I have a gorgeous face which I do (i have loads of self confidence), but I am just wondering if the rest of me is too skinny. Thanks! xoxo

I research it online but I only find that coconut oil cures fungas not create it. She told my not to put any food products in my hair. I am enthnic.

Do I need Protein Shakes in my diet?
