  • Yes several things Do not preheat the pan you are going to use. I sometimes put foil just around the outer ring so it won’t burn. Cook lower temp but make sure it is done. You can also Cook in oven the take to microwave for the last few seconds. I have place a very slightly moist paper towel over the pizza to keep moister in and kind of steam it a little. There are many ways also don’t over produce your doe or toughen it up by kneading it to much. Make your dough a bit moister. I just tried taking a pastry brush and I brushed the edges of my pizza with an olive oil that has a garlic taste. YU M. Hope this helps.

  • ListenDo…:

add a little more water to the mix, and don’t cook it as long.

  • viva_z:

Don’t overknead the dough – it’s the gluten in the flour that makes the crust too tough.

    POURED-CRUST PIZZA
(I love this recipe! It’s so easy, & tastes great, too! )
    1 c. flour
1 c. pizza sauce or 1 c. tomatosauce, add 2 tsp. Italian Seasoning, or use 1/2 jar of spaghetti sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. milk or water
1 tsp. Italian seasoning or oregano
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Grease well a large pizza pan, 9×13” pan, or two 8” pans. Mix together all ingredients (EXCEPT the sauce), & pour into chosen pan(s). Tilt pan(s) around until completely covered with batter. Carefully spread the sauce onto the batter, then add desired toppings (see below). Bake at 400º, for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until crust is browned.
    Topping / Filling:
    1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1/4 c. onion, chopped
    12-oz. cheese, shredded
    green bell pepper, chopped
    sliced canned mushrooms, drained
    Other Suggested Toppings:
Cooked meat (crumbled ground chuck or sausage, pepperoni slices, chicken etc.)
