I was told that coconut oil is good for losing weight and reducing cholesterol. Is this true?

  • RAW Foods:

Yes, it is beneficial. Coconut oil’s saturated fat are naturally occurring and it is not by highly processing the oil (there is a difference). It is also wonderful to help lose weight (when you give your body good oils your body will get rid of the bad fats, but if you give bad fats than your body will suffer great deal). It also helps reducing cholesterol, and even helps for certain hormone problems. It also helps if you have congested chest (you drink one teaspoon of warm coconut oil early in the morning before you eat anything).
Of course, don’t abuse it. What is good we use moderately and what is bad we keep it away from us! :)
Good things taken to the extreme can be harmful and bad things even in little portion can harm your body little by little!
Take care, and I hope this info may help you! :)

I’ve never heard of it as a weight loss aid. Why not put your search engine to work and look up coconut oil benefits and see what you find?

NO. Coconut oil have lots of saturated fat. This means that is high in cholesterol. None oil or grease will help you to lose weight. Body needs a small amount of grease or oil, but prefer monounsaturated like: canola, olive oil, and those found in: olives, avocado, almonds, cashews, pecans and peanuts.
